Disc Breaks with Llupa - 182 - ft. Choc St. Clair - 17th November 2011

Back with another solid guest mix, this time from a local talent who's fast on the rise with a couple of recent rather wicked releases - Choc St. Clair. Scott aka Choc St. Clair and I got in contact a few months back and he was kind enough to flick through some of his new tunes and I was mightily impressed. So, to celebrate his about to drop single 'Blast Off' coming out on Dead Famous, I asked him for a guest mix for the show and he kindly obliged. This one is full of the quality deep groove spanning not only the breaks - shock horror ;) - but a good slab of tracks showcasing his dj skills as well as his productons.

Choc St. Clair

Choc St. Clair unveiled his passion and flair for music at an early age. Proficient on various instruments including the bagpipes, he became master of the wind, however he soon discovered that the trick to serenading a lady lies with the deep, soulful sounds of House and Techno music.

A natural talent, Choc St. Clair has enjoyed early success with his own productions with current releases on 606 Recordings, Modern Beat Digital, Dead Famous Records and LW Records with forthcoming releases set to come out before the years end on VIM Records, We Are Live and Nutation Records.

Choc's greatest influences come from his time spent in Scotland, where the experts of the north immersed him in the local deep house and techno scenes of Edinburgh and Glasgow. He took from this a profound insight into the quirks and crescendos that constitute a spicy beat.

Choc St. Clair’s own music is designed for the early hour moments where soulful beats carry listeners along a highway of adrenaline while his DJ Sets consist of a well structured balance between his own productions and those of others.
