Disc Breaks with Llupa - 230 - ft. Tee-Ex - 17th January 2013

This week we're continuing the run of quality guest mixes with another personal favourite producer: Tee-Ex. Since his first releases on Scarcity Records, and through his more recent on Morphoisis Limited, I have been a big fan of his unique style. He manages to give a relentlessness to his tunes through the driving and groove laden beats and basslines and then offsets it with some amazing melodies and hooks to create tunes that have become very firm favourites of mine.

He's about to release another EP on Morphosis and the mix is more artist showcase as features pretty much only his originals (featuring tracks from the upcoming EP), remixes and some cheeky bootlegs. If you've not familiar with the man's work - this is a great place to start.

Tee-Ex

Tee-Ex, in real name Ivars TÄ«liks, was with music since very early years of his life so slowly but surely at the age of 13 he began to understand that dedicating life for electronic dance music will be his driving passion to do it many years with pure love to the electronic music. Like many others he have a dream to accomplish to show his music millions of people around the globe. He has inspired by many famous world djs and even local djs from his country Latvia. His unstoppable progression of producing dance music develops every sound with beautiful & emotional melodies and strong super charged rhythm lines and breakdowns in his progressive tracks also with many interesting variations. Reaching on the dance floor nearly perfection in feelings. Tee-Ex now has been supported by many famous DJs in radio shows, like Armin Van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, Jaytech, Solarstone, Roger Shah, Daniel Kandi, Retroid & etc. Also establishing his name in dance music industry, he has been at beatport's TOP100 Breaks with almost every release. Proving that his music has made already a serious aim to reach, damaging the dance floors all around the world.

Big shout to Tee-Ex for a solid guest mix showcasing a stack of his music - the guy has such a damn cool style! My bit was a bit of a journey from the deep prog to the psy and to the peak time vocalness from Under This. Want to give a special big shout to Greg from VIM records as played a stack of VIM Records tonight without even realising it and that is the mark of a quality label - big respect mate - keep it up!
